Today was an amazing day at Living Water. Not only did we celebrate the Triumphal Entry of Jesus, but dozens, that's right, dozens of people gave their lives to Christ. Here are some of my highlights:
- The Youth Choir was really, really good! Props to Daniel, Cody and Pastor Shane for discipling young people to worship! The church loved it and I think Jesus was pleased as well.
- As we studied the beginning of this Historically and Spiritually significant week, we saw how Jesus accomplished not only living a sinless life, but also a life lived under and with AUTHORITY.
- I heard a story of someone who had recently lost their job and was discouraged coming to church on Saturday. After hearing that Jesus doesn't always take the PATH we desire but He will
always lead us to the best DESTINATION that's BLESSED - she was encouraged and choose to trust the Holy Spirit's leading even through the valleys of life.
I can't wait for Easter! Just a few days away and you can feel the buzz around town as people expect an ENCOUNTER for themselves and their loved ones.
I've heard MULTIPLE stories of people finding Living Water Easter Invitations around town in random places... I love this church and her heart for the CITY!
Did I mention the Drum Line? It blew the doors of. Emanuel, Garret, Ian and Chris rocked the house with their "Drum Line Worship" opening. I got to see it twice and wished I could have been at the beginning of every service. WAY TO GO GUYS.
Don't forget to pray this week for all the people who will be serving Jesus over the Easter weekend in the ADULT CHOIR, THE MOVING DRAMA, OUR AMAZING EGG HUNT, THE JESUS FOCUSED CHILDREN'S MINISTRY, THE SPIRIT FILLED WORSHIP OR THE LIFE CHANGING MESSAGE! We all need Jesus!
EVERYONE should be serving or bringing guests. If you are not doing one of those two things, it is not too late to invite a guest or sign up to serve.
ALSO, REMEMBER this might be the most important Encounter Night to date as we gather at the BLVD campus and them mobilize to pray throughout the city. BE THERE if you can, Wednesday, 7pm BLDG I.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST - MY FAVORITE PART OF THE WEEKEND was the dozens of people that responded to the call of Salvation. THAT never gets old. I was blown away and humbled by how the Holy Spirit moved in people's live.
Be blessed this Passion week and I'll see you Sunday.
