Sunday Evening Thoughts

Wow!  This was a weekend packed with GREAT things that God is doing in our church and city.

1. 6 Services in 3 Locations in 2 Languages over 2 days!

3. REPOSSESS

Some of my "take homes" from the weekend message, part 2 of "Encounter the City":

• God wants to break the "sin cycle" of Blessing, Apathy, Bondage, Deliverance, Worship
• God’s plan is for us to be completely fulfilled IN HIM, BY HIM and thru HIM ALONE,
• Caleb held on to God's promise for over 40 years and never doubted God!
• We need grey haired people who can testify of the faithfulness of God.
• Don’t be deceived - THERE IS NO TAMING COMPROMISE or SIN.
• Sin will always take your farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay.
• Sin’s greatest effect on our relationship with God is the way that it adds static to our communication and intimacy thru Jesus.
• Sin defined: any ATTITUDE or ACTION that doesn’t honor God or His intent for your life.
• God's passionate desire is not to punish us, it is to have a "static free" and intimate relationship with Him THROUGH JESUS!
• It's all about the Cross of Jesus and His grace!

Upward Closing Ceremony:

I am SO proud of my kids.  I had the privilege to coach 2 teams and LOVED every minute of it.  It made our Saturdays busy, but THESE ARE THE THINGS DADS DO!  I'm especially proud of Sam and Andrew - MY SONS!  We packed out the Living Water (BLVD Campus) to celebrate what God had done in the kids.  Props to the Fields family for sacrificing COUNTLESS HOURS to serve over 200 kids and their families with the Upward league.  Our special guest was "SuperHandles" who entertained and testified about what God had done in his life.

Repossess

GOD BLESSED OUR CITY with another remarkable night of REPOSSESS.  Over 200 youth gave their lives to follow Jesus and let Him CHANGE their world.
