As we prepare to celebrate together, it is fitting to recognize the many people on the team who have been working tirelessly to help tell the story of God’s faithfulness to and through Living Water. Joy, Andy, Bo, Daniel, Dale, Kelly, Cheri, Laurel and others have worked many late nights and early mornings to make the most of the few minutes we’ll have together this coming weekend. Their investment has demonstrated what I already knew, they are the finest co-laborers anyone could hope to work with.
You will be blessed and inspired by what you experience this weekend. Our prayer is that you will see clearly that you are a part of a greater narrative, telling God’s story of love to the people of Thurston County (and beyond). The videos and images you will witness will only scratch the surface of the vast amount of people who have served and sacrificed to help the church become what it is.
But, we are not done yet...
As we examine the world around us filled with strife, poverty, preventable sickness, broken relationships, abandoned children, discrimination, lonely people and injustice, WE MUST remember that the CHURCH is the hope for the world. God chose to the Church to be His ambassador, His steward of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. There is hope, and you are Hope’s messenger.
Don’t miss out on this weekend! When you see one of the people I mentioned above, tell them how thankful you are for their service - they deserve it. Most of all, honor those who have gone before us by playing your part in the story. Get off the sideline, there is much to be done!
