Ok, this isn't as bad as the title sounds, but since you've read this much, don't stop.
This weekend I had a rare "weekend off" and decided to take my family to visit the church of some dear friends in Puyallup. Pastor Roger and Tina have been friends for years, Roger sang in our wedding and his daughter was our flower girl. Roger and Tina are awesome examples of innovators and leaders within the Foursquare tribe. Not only do we love Roger and Tina,
they've hired many of our closest friends; Pastor Chad and Julia, Pastor Marc and Bethany and Pastor Yoel and Christy have been like family to us for years.
This weekend Pastor Chad taught about "Letting Your Light Shine". He did a great job preaching and Marc was fantastic leading worship. Our kids LOVED their Childrens Ministry building and want to go back soon (way to go Christina!!! - and thanks Zac for making them feel special as soon as they walked in the door)!
I was so impressed with the sense of love and welcome that permeated their entire campus. From the minute the shuttle driver picked us up in the parking lot we felt like we were with friends. That kind of spirit only comes from sincere and passionate leadership. Great job Pastor Roger and Tina!
Puyallup Foursquare is a great church and a great community, I love that we have that kind of a partner here in the North West - shining for Jesus...
With all of that being said, I can't wait to be back with the Living Water family in 6 days (not that I'm counting ;) We're starting a new series from the Beatitudes that will be life changing. Even though I saw great things in Puyallup today (and I mean really great), I think we have the best church in the world! Fawn and I love you and can't wait for all the great things that God has in store for all of us together!!!
